Why is it called webTOD?

The name webTOD is an acronym for Web Tables On Diskette. The Tables on Diskette (TOD) reference is derived from a reference to a (now obsolete) Canada Revenue Agency software product (first distributed on diskette) that provided employers with a computerized version of the Payroll Deduction Tables which previously had been available only in print.
